Are there any geographical restrictions on eligibility?

While we welcome applications from any geographic area, we have reserved places at our pitching events for suitable founders from Worcestershire and Herefordshire.Please note that all pitching events are in-person and take place in Worcestershire and Herefordshire; therefore, if you are applying from further afield, you must be available to travel for the pitching event should you be successful with your application.

How do I know if I am eligible for SEIS and EIS?

Unfortunately, we aren’t able to provide advice on individual circumstances or confirm whether a business would qualify.For businesses applying to pitch with Catalyse Angel Network, we would ask that they either already have SEIS/EIS Advance Assurance from HMRC, or that they have taken appropriate professional advice and can confirm that they expect to be eligible.We would recommend speaking to an accountant or appropriate adviser who can look at the specifics of the business and advise you on your eligibility.

Who are the investors in the network?

Investor access to Catalyse Angel Network (CAN) is by invitation only and is restricted exclusively to Investment Professionals, including venture capital representatives, Self-Certified High Net Worth Individuals, and Self-Certified Sophisticated Investors in each case as defined by the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Financial Promotions) Order 2005. Investors will need to confirm that they meet one of these criteria and register with Catalyse Angel Network (CAN) accordingly.
