Our Story
Catalyse Angel Network was formed in November 2025 to bridge the gap between great ideas and the capital that they need to succeed. Our mission is to catalyse innovation and economic growth by empowering and connecting ambitious entrepreneurs with the right investors.
Why become a member of Catalyse?
Curated deal flow: Catalyse is focused on investment opportunities between £25,000 and £500,000 with a particular emphasis on deals from Worcestershire & Herefordshire. We also welcome opportunities from outside of the two counties at our discretion.
Tax relief: Catalyse looks for opportunities that are (or will be) SEIS and/or EIS eligible, which can provide significant tax advantages for our investor members.
Flexibility and choice: We ask our investor members to have the means to deploy just £5,000 per year into businesses via our network. Investor members receive information about founders and the investment opportunities before our events, giving time to evaluate each opportunity.
Ongoing support: We provide our investor members with access to resources and events to help them stay informed and sharpen their skills in angel investing.

Why pitch your business to Catalyse?
Curated access to capital: Catalyse focuses on early-stage investment opportunities with deal values typically between £25,000 and £500,000. We welcome applications from anywhere in the UK, but we are particularly interested in founders from Worcestershire and Herefordshire or those who are interested in moving their business into the two counties.
SEIS/EIS eligible investments: Catalyse is looking for opportunities that are (or will be) eligible for SEIS and/or EIS, which are highly attractive to our investor members.
Sector agnostic: Our investor members have a diverse range of backgrounds and interests. Catalyse welcomes applications from founders in any sector.
Ongoing support: We provide feedback and signposting to additional support where relevant. Catalyse wants to help you prepare for and succeed in your funding journey.

The Legal Bit
Catalyse Angel Network was formed by Worcestershire LEP and is supported by Worcestershire County Council and Herefordshire Council.
Investor access to Catalyse Angel Network (CAN) is by invitation only and is restricted exclusively to Investment Professionals, including venture capital representatives, Self-Certified High Net Worth Individuals, and Self-Certified Sophisticated Investors in each case as defined by the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Financial Promotions) Order 2005. Investors will need to confirm that they meet one of these criteria and register with Catalyse Angel Network (CAN) accordingly.
